If you landed here by accident, our doors aren't quite ready to open.
We haven't yet set a launch date, but we're working hard to get everything ready for you.
Back in the day... Yes, way back, as recently as the 90's, certainly the 80's, people would go to the bank to withdraw the week's cash needed for everyday purchases such as groceries, gas and other daily consumables. Some would divide the cash into envelopes for each category of spending to ensure money wasn't accidentally spent on something else! For larger transactions such as rent, where you couldn't pay by credit card, people would write checks; Often, a year's worth of post-dated checks to avoid having to write one every month. To pay credit card bills that came in the mail; No, not email, the other mail :) they would write a check and mail it to the credit card company. The next month's statement would indicate if the payment was applied on time. Every time someone went to the bank to withdraw cash, they would have the bank teller update a little bank book with all transactions made on their account. Then people would go home and compare to their check book registry where they listed all deposits, withdrawals, and all checks they wrote. In the late 80's, people started to use spreadsheet software or one of the early period money management apps which required you to input every transaction manually. Quite an onerous exercise but people did do this to take advantage of reporting functionality.
I have used many of these software programs over the years to track and manage my spending. My complaint, though, has always been that they cost a lot or that they don't provide me with useful, actionable reports. Sometimes the reports were more of what an accountant would look at. So, a number of years ago i decided to create an all in one spreadsheet template with built in chart reports that were simple to understand and gave me some actionable insights. It was actually quite the project, and it worked great! I was happy with it, but every now and again, if you have ever worked with large complex spreadsheets, you know that they are difficult to maintain and to scale. They are constant work. I put up with using this spreadsheet for quite a few of years, but at the same time I was looking for a web application that offered me a simple way to track and understand my finances, that didn't require a significant investment, and had useful and extensive reporting functionality. I also didn't want to give the app access to my bank account data. I couldn't find anything that I felt was good value for money, for me.
After a while, I decided to write my own web application. I worked on the code when I wasn't working, on weekends and while on vacation, slowly building the web app. Originally, the intent was to build something just for me to use. Over time I refined the app adding features, functionality and quite a few amazing dashboards to help me visualize and manage my persoanl finances. Honestly, I wasn't planning to make it a commercially available app. Coding is something I enjoy doing. Six years later, though, I had something really cool that I was using. I thought, hmmm, this could be somethng that others could find useful. Really, it just needed a few tweaks. A name, a uniform look and feel, a third party social login platform to simplify authentication, a way for users to try it out, no strings attached, and finally an integration with a third party secure payment platform to transact the subscribtion.
As far as the price is concerned, I didn't want to split the app up into mutltiple offerings. Afterall, the value I get out of it is because of all the features I put into it for me. So, no. We don't have a free or diluted subscription. Everyone gets access to all of the features. This is a premium app that I believe is at a fair price if compared to the other apps out there. All I can say is to give it a try. If you like it, great! Subscribe and join our family! If you don't like it, that's fair. Apps are in a way personal. But I do encourage you and everyone else who may not vibe with our app to find a way to actively manage your finances. I do believe, though, that if you give us a chance, you will be won over!
